Summerhill Pyramid Winery

A Canadian gem, Summerhill’s a biodynamic and organic winery nestled in the bosom of the Monashee Mountains alongside Lake Okanagan. An environmental pioneer and purveyor of goodness, proprietor Stephen Cipes is a champion of sustainable practices that rejuvenate the land and all those who benefit from its bounty.

Their award-winning wines have garnered international attention earning them bountiful acclaim, including the honour of being named “Canadian Wine Producer of the Year” at the international Wine and Spirit Competition. March 2017,  Summerhill garnered top spot at the Chardonnay du Monde competition in Burgundy, France for its 2014 Chardonnay icewine described as "a vibrant dessert wine with notes of honey, apricot and poached pears:, their 2013 ‘Small Lot’ Semillon Icewine was awarded a perfect 100 point score and a Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco International Wine Competition, with the 2014 Chardonnay Icewine the highest scoring wine at the 2017 Chardonnay du Monde Competition in France.

In this holistically eclectic winery winemaking begins in the vineyard extending to the pyramid cellar where maturation of the wine occurs naturally. As a landmark winery, the property hosts Canada’s only First Contact Exhibit where a quick jog down adjoining trails lead to the Makwahla memorial Kekuli, an authentic reproduction tribute to the winter home of the First Nations Okanagan peoples. COVID 19 protocols apply.
