Jade Bay Beach & Juniper Bay Beach

When you want to get away from the crowded beaches, but still enjoy the beautiful green waters of Kalamalka Lake, then head straight to Kal Park with a picnic basket in hand. Stunning lake and valley views, secluded beaches and hiking trails that wind through the hillside, Kal Park is the jewel of the North Okanagan.

Jade and Juniper Bay beaches, side-by-side within the park, are often the inspiration for photographers who can’t resist the quiet beauty and picturesque views. Both beaches have plenty of shade to get you out of the sun, and are a short walk from the main parking lot. Be prepared with your own food and water and always pack out what you pack in. Pooches aren’t welcome but hike a little further and you’ll find a dedicated-dog beach, in between Cosens Bay Beach and Juniper Bay Beach.

If you’re not up for lazing on a beach, then bring your hiking shoes and hit the 14 km’s of trails. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely hike or a more challenging one, you won’t be disappointed.
